In addition, we custom-make English-style bridles, reins, stirrup leathers, halters, martingales, breastplates, mounting straps, carriage driving “spares” cases, and fox hunting appointments. All of our tack is hand crafted using only the finest quality leather and fittings available on the market.

One of our most unique and rewarding areas of work is when we work closely with you to design and make a unique belt or other item which memorializes a favorite equine (or other pet).

We offer 7 leather colors, all elegant and tasteful. We strive to provide an accurate representation of our leather colors on our website, but the leather color may appear different on different browsers. For items that can be personalized with engraving, we offer a wide selection of fonts and type styles. The image to the left can be enlarged by clicking on it to review which fonts we have available for the engraving process.

Ploughman’s belts and bracelets are made with hardware, fittings, and fabrics originally designed and made for use on horse tack – such as bridles, halters, saddles and carriage-driving harness.

Our fittings come from American companies and are available in a variety of metals including solid brass (SB), stainless steel (SS), nickel, and chrome. Our belt-styles have distinctive hardware selections which are typically reflected in the name of the belt (for example, the “Double Curb Belt” uses equine curb chains) and some styles offer a choice of metals that can be used for the buckle and the keeper.
